TGM builds for art! – Museum Voorlinden
“Everything has to be perfect before the first visitor arrives.” – Joop van Caldenborgh
TGM has recently added an impressive and challenging project to its portfolio: Museum –‘Voorlinden’- in Wassenaar.
The Caldic Collectie builds a museum for modern and contemporary art, on a country estate Voorlinden in Wassenaar, using the design of Dirk Jan Postel from architects office Kraaijvanger. Through use of glass, steel and stone in the colour of dune sand the museum will seamlessly integrate in its splendid natural surroundings and beautiful environment. Due to the high degree of transparency, the visitors of the museum will still experience the harmony with its natural surroundings, whilst being inside of the building.
As the associate-contractor TGM takes final responsibility for the engineering and realization of laser welded steel curtain walls with entrance- and exit doors and glass roof, whereby the safety will be taken into account. The scope of delivery of TGM is: 11302ft² of curtain wall and 26910ft² of glass roof structure.
The project has already started and the completion of the curtain walls and glass roofs will take place in October of 2015.
