Sustainable building for the Radboud University

TGM is proud of its participation on the realisation of the sustainable Grotius Building, the new location of Radboud University in Nijmegen. This building is mostly occupied by the Faculty of Law and has numerous education- and studying areas: a library, a restaurant with outside terrace and an auditorium with 500 places for students.

The façades of the building are carried out in, by TGM developed, C2C certified HV60 curtain wall system. The timber mullions and transoms of the curtain wall are carried out in organ pines.

The transparent parts of the façade are equipped with triple glass, and the closed parts with solid enamelled glass with a silver screen-printing.  Especially designed hidden ventilation slots are integrated into the blind parts of the building. This allows a natural ventilation of the building without compromising the modern look of the façade.

The scope of delivery of TGM: 3.425 m2 HV60 curtain wall.

  • 165 m2 HV60 curtain wall 30 minutes fire resistant.
  • 26 steel doors.
  • 2 revolving doors.
  • 126 integrated ventilation slots.
