Frederikkazerne

The new government building on the edge of Scheveningen in addition to the hotel function includes a restaurant, lounges and a guard building. The nearby dunes were an important source of inspiration for the free form of the building. The undulating dunes where also the starting point for the design of the courtyard.

Sustainability was an important theme for the client. The entire building is prefabricated, from main support construction, prefab bathroom to the façade. This has resulted in high-quality products and little waste. Thanks to these measures, the building has achieved an everage GPR score of 8!
